The Ko'olau pali — the sheer, dramatic cliff face of the Ko'olau range — rises directly behind the club in a nearly vertical wall of lush green. On clear days it's crisp and textured. After rain, waterfalls appear and the mountains glow emerald. Either way, the visual impact is extraordinary.
No other golf club venue in Hawaii has a backdrop quite like Ko'olau. The mountains here are at their most dramatic — rising almost vertically from the valley floor to jagged ridgelines that are often draped in mist and cloud. Ko'olau Golf Club hosts weddings for all couples regardless of golf connection. Their event team is experienced with weddings and can advise on all available spaces and options.
Both venues share the same extraordinary mountain backdrop but have different settings. Ko'olau Golf Club has more open fairway and grounds space while Ko'olau Ballrooms has dedicated event ballroom spaces. Both are excellent — the choice depends on your preferred setting and guest count.
The windward side receives more rainfall than Honolulu or Ko Olina. However, the lush, dramatic conditions this creates often produce extraordinary photography. We come prepared for any weather.
